Ages 4-6 Teeball Division

Focuses on fundamentals of the game in practice and game environments. We follow the Little League instructional program that puts an emphasis on keeping the game fun and fast-paced. We have practices and games at this level, with games generally happening on Saturdays.

 

Ages 7-8 Instructional Pitching Machine Division (Schmidt Division)

Focuses on transition to a 60' baseball field and uses a pitching machine for hitting. Kids play with outs and some kid pitching is introduced late in the season. We do not keep score at this level and continue to focus on skill development and knowledge of the game. We have practices and games at this level and primarily practice and play throughout the week and on Saturdays.

 

Age 9-10 Minor Division (Roberts Division)

Regular youth baseball rules. Full kid pitch with steals, umpires, 5-run limits per inning, and regular little league baseball rules. We keep score, track wins and losses, and have playoffs at the conclusion of the regular season. Practices and games are primarily at Ship 2 throughout the week and on the weekends, with the occasional game at Auto Lenders Field (Ship 1). Teams are selected by draft.

 

Age 11-12  Major Division (Ashburn Division)

Regular youth baseball rules. Full kid pitch with steals, umpires, and regular little league baseball rules. We keep score, track wins and losses, and have playoffs awarding regular season and playoff champions. Practice and games are primarily at Auto Lenders Field (Ship 1) throughout the week and on the weekends. Teams are selected by draft.

 

Age 13-14 Juniors Division

Introduces move to regular 90' baseball field. Regular baseball rules apply. Practices and games are generally at WCASD 90' fields. Teams are selected by draft.

 

Age 15-16 Seniors Division

Regular baseball rules. Practices and games are at WCASD 90' fields. Teams are selected by draft.

 

In general, boys must play within their age groupings based on little league age determination. Exceptions will be made based on roster needs and skill levels. Please note, in order for any child to be considered for playing "up" in another division, he MUST attend evaluations.
